Deep Tissue Massage targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using techniques such as forearm pressure, fists, and elbows to release chronic tension and muscular tightness. While it’s particularly beneficial for athletes, runners, and individuals recovering from injuries, this massage style is not exclusively for those seeking strong pressure.
Despite its reputation, Deep Tissue Massage doesn’t have to be painful — when performed mindfully, it can be deeply relaxing and therapeutic, making it suitable for anyone in need of tension relief, improved mobility, or simply a more restorative massage experience.
The benefits of Deep Tissue Massage:
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues to effectively release chronic tension, stiffness, and discomfort. By working into areas of tightness and built-up stress, it helps break down adhesions (knots), ease restricted movement, and support muscle recovery. While it’s known for its intensity, deep tissue massage can also be deeply relaxing — helping to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and leave you feeling both restored and rebalanced. Ideal for anyone experiencing postural strain, physical overuse, or simply seeking a therapeutic release with a calming touch.
Pressure: medium to strong.
Good for: muscles stiffness and soreness, limited movements due to stiffness, after sport and exercise.
Not the best for you: if you are looking for a less deep pressure and a more stress relief massage. Book a De-stress Massage instead.
Please note the pressure is adapted to your needs. I always work within the client’s comfort zone. This is a full body massage including legs, back, arms, neck and shoulders (head massage at the client’s preference).
